Making an archive on Wayback Machine 💽
Recently I had need to make a copy of my site on Wayback Machine. I’ve always thought that you were at the mercy of some sort of crawler when it came to getting a copy of your site on there but as it turns out it’s surprisingly painless.
- Head to your browser’s extension store and grab the Wayback Machine extension (I use Arc so here’s the Chrome version).
- Open the extension on your site and click the “Save Page Now” button.
That’s it, it’s that simple. So many site designs lost to time because I didn’t know how easy this was.
